Silk Sarees from the Valleys of Assam

The second type is Pat Silk produced from silkworms living on mulberry trees. It comes in white and off-white colors, though they are dyed to create sarees in stunning colors.

Eri silk is formed from Eri worm found in the North-East regions of India and in some parts of China and Japan.
